    Christmas Greetings!

First of all, we want to thank you for stopping by, and a special thanks to those of you who pray for us or help support our ministry with New Tribes Mission.

2007 has been a busy year for us. Here is a brief list of some of our 2007 highlights:

    • January - I traveled to Senegal, Africa, with co-worker, Virgil Wuthrich, to help install our NTM Accounting & Administrative (NTMAA) system and provide training for the supply buyer and their finance office.
    • March - I traveled to Michigan to help with some training at our New Tribes Bible Institute bookstore and to be part of the annual missions conference at Skiff Lake Bible Church.
    • May - Paula and I had a special 10 day vacation in Hawaii, celebrating our fifteenth wedding anniversary (which was actually in 2004) and also Paula's great progress with her diet and exercise program. (She's lost over 100 lbs!)
    • June - I traveled with co-worker, Nathan Whatley, to our NTM Canada headquarters in Durham, Ontario to help their finance office transition to our NTMAA system. While in Canada we also had the opportunity to spend Canadian Thanksgiving weekend with a family at their cottage on Lake Huron.
    • July - We found a great deal on eBay (a 2 bedroom timeshare for a week for $96 total) and were able to take a week long family vacation in Daytona Beach.
    • September - We traveled to Jacksonville to visit friends and to share about our ministry with a supporting church there.
    • September 18 - After 2.5 years, Nicholas has his braces removed from his teeth.
    • November - We were able to take a 4 day mini-vacation (again courtesy of a good deal on eBay) to Daytona Beach. We were able to spend some time with my mom & stepdad and then join my sister and her family for Thanksgiving.
    • December - I'm planning to travel to our Missionary Training Center in Camdenton, Missouri for a week to provide further NTMAA training for their finance office and Tech Center.
To read more of our news and updates for 2007, we would invite you to visit our news and updates page

Before you leave, we would like to ask you to please take a minute to drop us an email using our quick form below (or you can email us at JPOliver@WithAWeb.com).

It would be a blessing to us to know that you received our Christmas postcard ok and that you took the time to visit our website. We would also appreciate hearing what's been happening with you. If you have any special prayer requests, please include them, so that we can pray for you as well.

We are preparing a 2007 Annual Report with updates on our family, our ministry, and our finances, as well as praise and prayer requests for 2008. If you would like us to mail you a copy of our 2007 Annual Report, our new 2008 prayer card, or one of our 2008 magnetic calendars (for your refrigerator), please let us know.

Since our newsletter service (which served us well for the past sixteen years) closed operation this year, we have started sending periodic email updates instead. If you would like to be added to our Oliver Family Update email list, please let us know.

Thanks again for stopping by! If you are ever planning to visit the Sanford/Orlando area, please let us know, as we would love to see you.

Have a Joyous Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

    John & Paula & Family :)
